The Department of Botany is committed to providing quality education and developing a strong understanding of plant sciences among students. The department offers B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. programmes in Botany, providing opportunities for higher education, advanced learning, and research.

The department has a well-maintained Botanical Garden with a variety of medicinal plants, cacti, gymnosperms, and angiosperms. It also maintains valuable germplasm collections and a herbarium that support teaching, practical learning, and research activities.

The department has a Departmental Core Library with a collection of books.  The college library also has important reference resources, including floras, plant encyclopedias, and other useful books related to plant sciences.

Through its academic programmes, practical facilities, botanical resources, and research activities, the Department of Botany aims to develop scientific knowledge, practical skills, environmental awareness, and research aptitude among students.
