Department of
Mathematics

  • The department of Mathematics was started in the year 2008.The department offers B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. programmes. The department comprises two faculties whereas one of the faculty is member of Board of Studies, RTMNU, Nagpur. The department has total 4 patents publications, 40 research publications and  18 books published in its credit.
  • The department has a well equipped class room with good ventilation and seating arrangement. The class room has a provision for an ICT enabled teaching learning process. Apart from ICT related equipments, the Mathematics classroom is also used as a Mathematics Laboratory for the students to perform their task related to Mathematics. There is also a provision for department library for reference work. The students are also made to participate in co-curricular activities like Essay writing, poem writing, Elocution competition, oratorical contest, debate, seminar, quiz, sports, games etc.
  • There is a well equipped Mathematics Laboratory in the Department. In order to cater to the needs of the individual differences among students, hands on training and practical exposure/experiences is given to the students to understand the Mathematical concept.. It has now been realized that maths nature is as practical as other sciences or technical subjects.
  • Apart from this Mathematics Department is recognized as research center since 2022. The department of mathematics proudly has two Ph.D awardees and four research schlors pursuing their doctoral studies.
