Dr. Vijay G. Manwatkar is an accomplished Assistant Professor of Botany with over 12 years of teaching experience at the undergraduate level and 6 years of postgraduate teaching experience. He holds a Ph.D. in Botany and specializes in Advanced Phycology and Hydrobiology. His research interests include Plant Physiology, Plant Biochemistry, Biodiversity, Ethnobotany, Plant Breeding, and Sustainable Agriculture. He has published numerous research papers and book chapters, authored a Botany textbook, and has extensive research experience in Brassica crop improvement and plant breeding. He has presented research at national and international conferences and received the National Award for “Academic Excellence of the Year” in 2025 for his contributions to teaching, research, and publications.
