About Our Department

Under the leadership of respected Pandurangji Tulaskar, the president of Vidya Vikas Education Society, Hinganghat, Vidya Vikas Arts, Commerce and Science College was established in 1989. Since the year of its establishment, Marathi Language and Literature have been taught in the college. Earlier the college encompassed only under-graduation programme, but later on, the college also took post-graduation programme in its umbrella. In order to widen the scope of research in the Marathi language, the college started a Research Centre in the academic year 2016-2017. The college library has been enriched with sufficient books to support the research and teaching-learning activities. Many students of the Marathi Department have completed their education and now they are working in government, semi-government and private sectors.
